Growing up means three very different things to Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Mindy Macready (Chloë Grace Moretz) and Chris DAmico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) in Kick-Ass 2.
Dave is busy trying to follow his destiny and make a difference as Kick-Ass. Mindy, on the other hand, switches gears, locks away her arsenal, and tries to be normal, while Chris transforms from Red Mist into The Mother F%&*^r, hell-bent on avenging his fathers death.
The trio took some vicious punches and suffered immense loss in Kick-Ass, but as Taylor-Johnson pointed out, theres a lot of material in the second volume of comics thats even darker and while the film version does do away with some of that, Kick-Ass 2 is still pretty intense in a variety of respects. The Mother F%&*^r is essentially a ruthless killer, Hit-Girl faces some nasty high school drama, and Kick-Ass must recognize that being a superhero comes with serious consequences.
But this is Kick-Ass 2 were talking about, so of course there was some fun to be had while chatting with the trio in New York City ahead of the films August 16th release.
Check out what Taylor-Johnson, Moretz, and Mintz-Plasse told ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype about the new challenges their characters face, Hit-Girls slightly cleaner dialogue, the many characters of Jim Carrey, what Mintz-Plasses mother thinks of The Mother F%&*^r and more.
