A24 has released the new trailer for their upcoming biographical drama film Skin, offering a first look at the Jamie Bell starring drama. The film will have its U.S. theatrical release on July 26 following a VOD run on DirecTV on June 27. Check out the video below!

Skin follows the story of Byron Widner, a man raised by racist skinheads who risks his life to leave a white supremacy group in order to become a better person and have a chance at a new normal life with Julie. Widner was the subject of the 2011 documentary Erasing Hate which is about his efforts in removing his numerous racist facial tattoos. The documentary was written and directed by Bill Brummel.
Skin marks the first U.S feature film of Israeli director Guy Nattiv who also served as the film’s producer. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) as Shareen Krager, Danielle MacDonald (Bird Box, Dumplin) as Julie Larsen, Mike Colter (Girls Trip, The Defenders) as Daryle Lamont Jenkins, and Bill Camp (The Leftovers) as Fred Krager.

Oren Moverman, Jaime Ray Newman and Dillon D. Jordan along with Maven Pictures’ Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray are the film’s producers.
Bell is best known for his film debut role in Billy Elliot as the titular character that earned him a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He will next be seen as Bernie Taupin in the biographical musical film Rocketman which is based on the life of music legend Elton John. Rocketman is currently in production and will be release next year on May 31.
The film had its world premiere at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival.
