Major Backstage Update on Hikuleo’s WWE Status After Signing

Hikuleo, a former NJPW star who left the promotion in 2024, has signed with WWE. However, he has yet to make his debut. After WrestleMania 40, Solo Sikoa took control of The Bloodline, replacing Roman Reigns’ leadership and forming his own faction.

Sikoa brought in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, and together, they have dominated the WWE roster. Reports last year confirmed that WWE had signed major stars who could be members of the new Bloodline.

Hikuleo’s signing surfaced in June 2024, but he has yet to make his first appearance. In November, Lance Anoa’i, a former Major League Wrestling star, announced on X that he had secured his release from MLW.

Following his release, reports confirmed that he was signed with the WWE. However, an injury has delayed Lance Anoa’i’s debut, and he remains unfit to wrestle. WWE currently has no creative plans for him. Meanwhile, new reports have revealed a major backstage update on Hikuleo’s status with the promotion.

Report: Hikuleo has been on WWE’s internal roster for months

According to Fightful Select, the WWE added Hikuleo to its internal roster months ago. The main roster creative team confirmed they knew about his signing, but WWE did not include him in any creative plans at the time.

Reports about Hikuleo being listed on WWE’s internal roster have sparked interest, especially with the growing tension in The Bloodline between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. The friction started after Sikoa lost to Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat Match during RAW’s Netflix premiere.

This win saw Reigns reclaim his Ula Fala and solidify his status as The Tribal Chief. Reports suggest that WWE is planning a WrestleMania 41 match between Fatu and Sikoa. Could this lead to Sikoa being removed from the faction and Hikuleo stepping in as his replacement? Only time will tell.
