Former WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns’ “Wiseman,” Paul Heyman, appeared on the latest edition of WWE RAW. Heyman was last seen on SmackDown in June when the show returned to the iconic Madison Square Garden, which drew nearly 18,000 fans.
During the show, a significant Bloodline acknowledgment ceremony took place. Solo Sikoa requested acknowledgment from Fatu, Tonga Loa, and Tama Tonga, who recognized him as their Tribal Chief. However, Paul Heyman refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa. This led to The Bloodline attacking him violently by putting him through the announcers’ table.
Since the brutal attack, Paul Heyman has been absent from WWE. Although he was seen backstage at SummerSlam with Roman Reigns a photo that WWE accidentally uploaded but later deleted the image had already circulated among fans online. WWE is trying to keep Paul Heyman’s absence a secret to enhance the storyline. However recently, Heyman was spotted backstage with RAW commentator Pat McAfee this past Monday.
Paul Heyman & Pat McAfee spotted backstage on WWE RAW
Pat McAfee, who rejoined the WWE RAW commentary team earlier this year, announced that he will step away from RAW after the August 19th broadcast. He is leaving due to his commitments with ESPN College GameDay, which begins this week. McAfee shared the news on his official Instagram account.
Before his hiatus, McAfee addressed the fans in the arena and posted backstage photos featuring several stars, including Jey Uso, Dominik Mysterio, Chad Gable, and others. Among these photos was a shot of Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns’ “Wiseman.”
Although WWE has not confirmed Paul Heyman’s role backstage, he might be involved in helping talents with their storylines. Heyman recently commented on his return to TV. He stated he will come back when he can make a meaningful contribution to former WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns’ story. Fans will have to wait and see when Heyman will next appear on WWE programming.
