WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator Jim Ross recently shared his thoughts on former United States Champion Ricochet’s potential arrival in AEW. Last month, reports emerged that Ricochet’s contract with WWE is set to expire. The former United States Champion has informed WWE of his decision to leave once his contract expires in the summer.
Following this, WWE wrote Ricochet off TV in a brutal fashion. Bron Breakker ambushed him backstage, slamming him onto production trucks and delivering a powerful car-top slam that shattered the windshield. He was carried out in an ambulance, and it was the last time fans saw him in WWE.
Ricochet’s contract with WWE has expired, and speculation is running high that the former United States Champion will land in All Elite Wrestling. AEW stars like MJF and Will Ospreay have already hinted at his arrival. Adding fuel to the speculation, AEW commentator Jim Ross has also endorsed Ricochet’s potential arrival in the promotion.
Jim Ross believes Ricochet would excel in AEW
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross believes that former WWE superstar Ricochet has a bright future ahead in AEW. Speaking on his podcast “Grilling JR,” Ross expressed his confidence that the high-flyer would excel in All Elite Wrestling. He stated, “I don’t know if that is etched in stone or not; I would think so. I would think that he would be all-hands-on-deck and do a great job. So, I’m a fan of his work. He’s a nice kid and I wish him nothing but great success.”
Ricochet, who is one of the best high-flying wrestlers in the world, surprised fans with his departure from WWE. Throughout his tenure, WWE never seemed to have substantial plans for him, often placing him in midcard positions. Now, fans are excited to see what Tony Khan has in store for him as he prepares to debut in All Elite Wrestling soon.
