The Undertaker recently shared his thoughts on WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes turning heel. Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022 at WrestleMania 38, defeating Seth Rollins. Since then, Rhodes has been a babyface, which has led him to become one of the biggest faces of the new era. His popularity is now at an all-time high, and the cheers for him in every arena are growing.
WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker mentioned on his podcast that Cody Rhodes could be a great heel and that he gives off heel vibes. He stated, “I think he would be a good heel. He gives me heel vibes. I could see him easily being smug and ‘better than thou.’ Don’t get carried away. That’s all work, but I can see it. I feel it in his character.”
Furthermore, The Deadman also mentioned potential storylines for Cody Rhodes now that he is the champion. The Undertaker said Rhodes could face off against Seth Rollins, Gunther, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, and Roman Reigns.
Cody Rhodes sent a voice note to The Undertaker following WWE WrestleMania 40
The Undertaker, who made a shocking appearance at WWE WrestleMania 40, talked about Cody Rhodes sending him a message. The Undertaker appeared in the main event of night two, where he assisted Cody Rhodes against The Bloodline.
Speaking on his podcast, The Deadman said that Cody Rhodes sent him a voice note following his victory in the WWE Undisputed title match at WrestleMania 40. He stated, “He sent me a voicemail the night he won the title. It was 3:49 AM, I think. I made out about half of it. I believe he was having a good time that night. Well deserved. He has come full circle. I didn’t see him developing into being the sports entertainer that he is. Another example of motivation and not being content with where you’re at and learning. Many guys come into WWE before they are ready and leave unhappy. I don’t know for certain, but I’m pretty sure he left the same way. Man, did he figure things out on both sides, from marketing to business to connecting with the audience. He’s not the same person as when he left. Not even close,”
As of now, Cody Rhodes is set to defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against AJ Styles this weekend at WWE Backlash.
