Former WWE superstar Brie Bella has given an update on her husband Bryan Danielson’s status after AEW Dynasty. Bryan wrestled in a match against Will Ospreay, which received praise from fans worldwide.
Will Ospreay, who won the match, hit Bryan Danielson with the Storm Driver ’93 in the climax, followed by his signature move, the Hidden Blade, for the win. However, following the match, Danielson remained motionless in the ring, and even Ospreay looked concerned.
During a recent episode of The Nicole & Brie Show, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella discussed the match, and Brie shared an update on Bryan. Brie mentioned that she watched the match and felt scared for Bryan’s neck at several points. Despite walking away from the match without any major injuries, Bryan did hurt himself. She noted that he fell on his neck during the match but is not in a condition that requires surgery or will keep him out of the ring.
She stated, “He landed on it a certain way. You wrestle hard, and unfortunately, he will be 43 on May 22nd; your body does things. I saw many people online say the same thing; it’s probably one of the best matches in pro wrestling history. Some say, ‘In the United States, the best pro wrestling match in the United States.’ It’s better than any match so far this year. I agree. Bryan and Will, their chemistry and story, they are both such stars. It just got you fired up. When I watched the match, I told Bryan, ‘I got fired up. Fired up!’
Will Ospreay praises Bryan Danielson following their AEW Dynasty match
Last week, Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson delivered what many consider the greatest match of the year. Ospreay, visibly concerned for Bryan, also announced his retirement from using the Storm Driver ’93 move. However, he took to Twitter to praise his opponent after their match.
It’s uncertain how long Bryan Danielson will be sidelined. Meanwhile, on Dynamite, Will Ospreay won the Casino Gauntlet Match. He earned an opportunity to challenge Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship at Double or Nothing next month.
