On the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, fans witnessed the long-awaited return of Sammy Guevara after an absence of nearly three months. Sammy Guevara made a surprise return to AEW Dynamite, interrupting Don Callis’ Boxing Day celebration with his family. Callis had presented paintings to Powerhouse Hobbs, Konosuke Takeshita, and Kyle Fletcher. He expressed joy at being with his full family just as Sammy Guevara appeared.
However, Sammy Guevara said he hadn’t heard from Don Callis during his absence. Callis then gifted him a painting featuring Sammy Guevara with the Callis family and Guevara’s newborn baby girl. Guevara expressed displeasure over Don Callis including his newborn in the photo, prompting a heated exchange. When Callis mentioned the baby, Guevara shoved him, triggering an attack from the rest of the Family.
Surprisingly, Chris Jericho rushed to the ring with a baseball bat to save Guevara, forcing the Family to retreat. Guevara and Jericho shared a brief hug, but their reunion was cut short by an ambush from Ricky Starks and Big Bill.
The lights dimmed, signaling the return of Sting and Darby Allin. Together, Sting, Darby, Jericho, and Guevara drove off Starks and Bill.
What’s next for AEW star Sammy Guevara?
Sammy Guevara returned on the latest edition of Dynamite, confronting the Don Callis family and subsequently falling victim to their attack. Fortunately, his former teammate Chris Jericho intervened, coming to Guevara’s rescue in a dramatic turn of events.
Both Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara were attacked by AEW tag team champions Ricky Starks and Big Bill. The attack added an extra layer of anticipation to their upcoming match this Sunday at AEW Worlds End. Complicating matters further, Chris Jericho’s tag team partner, Kenny Omega, announced a hiatus, leaving Jericho without a partner for the impending showdown.
With Guevara back, teaming up with Chris Jericho seems likely to tackle AEW tag champion Ricky Starks and Big Bill this Sunday at Worlds End. Only time will tell whether Guevara gets added to the match or not.
