HBO has just brought online the full trailer for the second season of Issa Rae’s hit comedy Insecure. Check it out in the player below and catch the first of eight new episodes beginning Sunday, July 23.

Created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, Insecure follows the friendship of two black women as they deal with their own real-life flaws while attempting to navigate different worlds and cope with an endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences.
Executive produced by Issa Rae, Prentice Penny (who also serves as showrunner), Melina Matsoukas, Michael Rotenberg, Dave Becky and Jonathan Berry, Insecure features Larry Wilmore as a consultant. The cast also includes Yvonne Orji (30 Days Notice, The Conversation), Jay Ellis (Grace and Frankie, Masters of Sex) and Lisa Joyce (Ricki and the Flash, Billy & Billie).
Issa Rae is known for creating the web series Awkward Black Girl, which lead to a very successful YouTube channel. Her shows currently have over two million views. The show Insecure is partially based on the Awkward Black Girl series. In 2015 she released her memoir, “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl,” which was a New York Times best-seller. She co-executive produced the TV series First and The Choir, which she also wrote, as well as Giants. She also executive produced the TV series documentary Inside Web Series. She’s appeared in Bitter Line, the TV movie Rubberhead, and the series Instacurity. She also wrote the TV series short The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl.
