Nearly three weeks since the Disney+ debut of Echo, Marvel Studios has shared a new Echo video. It provides viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at one of the show’s major fight sequences.
The video features stunt coordinator and 2nd Unit director Marc Scizak, as he discusses how Maya and Daredevil’s one-take sequence from the first episode came to be. Scizak also opened up about Maya’s brutal fighting style, which was the result of being mentored by a villain. All five episodes of the series are now available for streaming on Disney+.

What is Echo?
“Echo spotlights Maya Lopez as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s criminal empire,” reads the synopsis. “When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy.”
From head writer Marion Dayre, Echo is led by Alaqua Cox as she reprises her role as Maya Lopez after debuting in the Hawkeye series, where the character’s long history with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin was revealed. The series also features D’Onofrio, Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Zahn McClarnon, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, and Graham Greene.
In Marvel Comics, Echo — the adoptive daughter of the Kingpin — is a deaf Choctaw woman who possesses the ability to perfectly copy other people’s movements while also being a highly capable martial artist and acrobat.
