Apple TV+ has released the first Masters of the Air teaser trailer for the World War II series led by Austin Butler and Barry Keoghan. The show is set to debut its first two episodes on the streaming platform on Friday, January 26, 2024, followed by one new episode every Friday through March 15, 2024.
The Apple TV+ synopsis reads: “During World War II, airmen risk their lives with the 100th Bomb Group, a brotherhood forged by courage, loss, and triumph.”

Austin Butler stars as Major Gale Cleven alongside Barry Keoghan as Lt. Curtis Biddick and Callum Turner as Major John Egan. The large ensemble cast also features Anthony Boyle as Major Harry Crosby, Nate Mann as Major Robert Rosenthal, and Raff Law as Sgt. Ken Lemmons.
Written by John Orloff, Masters of the Air is produced by Apple Studios, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman’s Playtone, and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. Executive producer Cary Joji Fukunaga directed multiple episodes, along with Dee Rees and the duo of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.
What is Masters of the Air based on?
Based on Donald L. Miller’s 2007 book, Masters of the Air is set in World War II and depicts the heroic actions of the men of the 100th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces.
