Starz has released the Outlander Season 7 trailer for the penultimate installment of its hit historical fantasy drama, starring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. The video gives fans a glimpse of the action-packed season featuring the Fraser family as they face the consequences of the American Evolution. The series is scheduled to make its return on June 16.
“In Season 7, Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the violent birth pains of an emerging nation as armies march to war and British institutions crumble in the face of armed rebellion,” reads the synopsis. “The land the Frasers call home is changing – and they must change with it. In order to protect what they’ve built, the Frasers have to navigate the perils of the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes to defend what you love, you have to leave it behind. As the conflict draws them out of North Carolina and into the heart of this fight for independence, Jamie, Claire, Brianna, and Roger are faced with impossible decisions that have the potential to tear their family apart.

Outlander Ending with Season 8
Ahead of the seventh season premiere, Outlander has already been renewed for its eighth and final season. Starz also has a series order to the Outlander prequel titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which will explore the love story of Jamie’s parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen Mackenzie.
Based on Diana Gabaldon’s ongoing bestselling novel series, Outlander begins when a 20th Century military nurse in 1945 finds herself transported back in time to 1743, where she gets to meet and fall in love with Highland warrior Jamie Fraser.
