The second season of the HBO Max Original adult animated series gen:LOCK premieres in just a week, and ahead of its November 4 launch, a brand new trailer for the series has been released.

In the brief trailer, a variety of shots are shown of what looks to be a big threat headed to humanity. However, the five members of Team gen:LOCK are still around to try and save things, although they’ll have even more opposition this time around.

Set 50 years in the future, gen:LOCK tells the story of a dystopian future, where oppressive authoritarian forces are threatening to conquer the world. The resistance forces looking to stop them find a new recruit in the form of Julian Chase (Michael B. Jordan), who joins team gen:LOCK and becomes a pilot for a new form of weaponized mechs.
Gen:LOCK is executive produced by Jordan and Alana Mayo of Jordan’s production company Outlier Society, along with Rooster Teeth’s Matt Hullum and Ryan P. Hall. The series is produced by Rooster Teeth’s in-house animation studio in Austin, Texas.

The first season of the animated series was initially available on Rooster Teeth’s subscription VOD service. WarnerMedia then began airing episodes on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim over the summer. The second season for the series will premiere on HBO Max this fall before moving to Rooster Teeth’s FIRST subscription streaming service.
