Showtime has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of The L Word: Generation Q, which is scheduled to make its return on Friday, August 6. The video provides us a preview of what to expect in the new season, teasing the aftermath of last season’s finale where Bette Porter lost the Mayor’s Election and Sophie cheated on Dani with Finley. It also teases a potential new relationship for Bette.

Set over 10 years after the events of The L Word, the series features the return of original series stars Jennifer Beals, Kate Moennig, and Leisha Hailey who reprise their roles as Bette, Shane, and Alice, respectively. Joining them are a new generation of diverse, self-possessed LGBTQIA characters experiencing love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks, and success in L.A.
The L Word: Generation Q also stars Arienne Mandi, Sepidah Moafi, Leo Sheng, Jacqueline Toboni, Rosanny Zayas, and Jordan Hull.

The series is created by Ilene Chaiken, Kathy Greenberg, and Michele Abbott. Executive producers are Beals, Moenning, Hailey, Steph Green, Chaiken, Allyce Ozarski, Kristen Ocampo, and Marja-Lewis Ryan.
