The Acosta family gets separated in Party of Five sneak peek
Freeform has released a sneak peek video for their upcoming Party of Five reboot series, featuring an emotional and timely scene as the five children see their parents at an immigration detention center. Inspired by real-life events, the series is scheduled to debut on next year on January 8, exclusively on Freeform. Check out the video in the player!

The new iteration of Party of Five is a modern twist on the original series, which told the story of an orphaned group of siblings. The new one-hour drama will follow the five Acosta children as they navigate daily life struggles to survive as a family unit after their parents are suddenly deported to Mexico. The series stars Brandon Larracuente as Emilio, Emily Tosta as Lucia, Niko Guardado as Beto and Elle Paris Legaspi as Valentina.
Original series creators Christopher Keyser and Amy Lippman wrote the pilot with newcomer Michal Zebede. Rodrigo Garcia (The Affair) is set to direct. Keyser and Lippman will also serve as executive producers. Michael Zebede serves as co-executive producer and writer.

The original Party of Five aired on FOX for six seasons from September 12, 1994 to May 3, 2000. The series starred Scott Wolf as Bailey, Matthew Fox as Charlie, Neve Campbell as Julia, and Lacey Chabert as Claudia Salinger.
