The Critters are back for a new binge in first Shudder trailer
It’s been almost 30 years since the hairy little aliens called Krites last attacked humanity, and now they are coming back for another invasion in the upcoming eight-part Shudder series, Critters: A New Binge, which just debuted its first trailer that can be viewed in the player below!

The official synopsis reads as follows:
Pursued by intergalactic bounty hunters, the Critters return to Earth on a secret mission and encounter lovelorn high-schooler Christopher (Joey Morgan, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse), his crush Dana (Stephi Chin-Salvo, iZOMBIE), his best friend Charlie (Bzhaun Rhoden, Van Helsing), and his mom Veronica (Kirsten Robek, The Edge of Seventeen), whose past will come back to bite them—literally. The series also features Gilbert Gottfried (Aladdin, Justice League Action) and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!).
The eight-part series is being written by Al and Jon Kaplin and Jordan Rubin and directed by Rubin, the trio behind the modern horror comedy cult hit Zombeavers, and will executive produce the project along with Rupert Harvey and Barry Opper from the original franchise, Ivana Kirkbride and Chris Castallo. Children Hospital producer Jonathan Stern and longtime Lifetime producer Harvey Kahn are set to produce the series as well.
The announcement of the series and trailer comes a few months after SyFy acquired the rights to the franchise and to the cult horror comedy Killer Klowns From Outer Space to produce sequels for both properties. A web series was originally attempted to be made in 2014, but never came to fruition.
