Adult Swim has set the Harvey Birdman, Attorney General premiere date, bringing the new half-hour special (which is very much in the vein of its predecessor, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law) at midnight on October 14th.
The new special tells the story of newly elected megalomaniac billionaire President, Phil Ken Sebben who appoints Harvey Birdman as the country’s next Attorney General. Soon, it becomes clear that it’s up to Harvey Birdman, esquire to figure out how to remove President Phil Ken Sebben from office before everyone starts to worry it’s more than the ridiculous plot to an animated special.
The new half-hour special features the original cast of voice actors reprising their roles from Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. Voicing Harvey Birdman will be Gary Cole (Office Space). The rest of the cast includes Stephen Colbert (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) as President Phil Ken Sebben, John Michael Higgins (Pitch Perfect) as Mentok the Mindtaker, Paget Brewster (Another Period) as Birdgirl, Chris Edgerly (Passengers) as Peter Potamus, Peter MacNicol (Veep) as X the Eliminator and Phil Lamarr (Futurama) as Black Vulcan.
Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law aired for four seasons on Adult Swim from 2000 – 2007 and reunites creators and executive producers Michael Ouweleen and Erik Richter. Richard Ferguson-Hull and Evan Adler are also serving as executive producers on the one-off special.
Harvey Birdman, Attorney General premieres on Adult Swim on October 14th. You can watch past episodes of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law anytime on AdultSwim.com.
