Geoff Johns reveals Stargirl series coming to DC Universe

From his spotlight panel at San Diego Comic-Con, comic scribe and TV/film producer Geoff Johns has announced yet another new series coming to the DC Universe streaming service with Stargirl! A creation Johns in the pages of DC comics the series will see the character “on a mission to bring back the legacy of the Justice Society!”

Johns will write and produce the series through his Mad Ghost Productions banner alongside Greg Berlanti and Berlanti Productions.

Stargirl joins an increasing roster of new DC based shows coming to the DC Universe service including Titans, the live-action TV series based on the teenage heroes; Young Justice: Outsiders, the long-awaited continuation of the fan-favorite animated series;  Harley Quinn, an all-new animated series starring the villain turned anti-hero; Doom Patrol, a spin-off of the Titans series starring the weirdest group of heroes; and Swamp Thing, an all-new live-action series based on the fan-favorite character.

The DC Universe service will also offer classic TV series and films, a curated selection of digital comic books, breaking news, an expansive DC-centric encyclopedia, and access to exclusive merchandise. Fans will also be able to connect with others in the DC community, earn premium rewards, and participate in sweepstakes and contests.

Slated for release in fall 2018, fans in the United States can now pre-order DC Universe at DCUniverse.com for the yearly membership fee of $74.99 (plus tax, if applicable in your state). Monthly memberships will be available at launch for $7.99 a month.
