Katie Holmes is set to star in an untitled Fox pilot from Ilene Chaiken and Melissa Scrivner Love
Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes is set to star in an as-yet-untitled FOX pilot from Empire showrunner Ilene Chaiken and Mielssa Scrivener Love, according to Deadline. This would be her first series regular role since the teen drama, though she’s starred in a number of films. Holmes will also executive produce the show, which comes to us from 20th Century Fox TV and 3 Arts. Chaiken and Scrivener Love will executive produce with Judy Smith and 3 Arts’ Oly Obst.
The untitled drama series, which was formerly known as Mrs. Otis Regrets, is the story of FBI Special Agent Hazel Otis (Katie Homes) who is investigating a domestic terrorism threat. Her affair with a well-known general derails the investigation and may take down her career with the FBI. “Now labeled “the mistress,” Hazel Otis – wife, mother, patriot – begins to rebuild her personal life and professional reputation.”
Katie Holmes is known for playing Joey in the teenage drama series Dawson’s Creek, which ran from 1998-2003. She played First Lady Jackie Kennedy in the TV miniseries The Kennedys and the sequel The Kennedys: Decline and Fall. She’s also been seen in the superhero film Batman Begins and appeared in the TV series How I Met Your Mother as Slutty Pumpkin, aka Naomi, and Ray Donovan as Page Finney.
