Comedy Central extends deal with Daniel Tosh for three additional seasons of Tosh.0
Comedy Central’s President, Kent Alterman, has announced that they have agreed to a contract extension with Daniel Tosh for three additional seasons of Tosh.0. The series will continue to air on Tuesday nights on the network through 2020.
Tosh commented that “knowing when to move on in show business is highly overrated,” and Alterman said that he knows “it makes Daniel uncomfortable to publicly acknowledge our love and affection for each other, but we couldn’t be more thrilled to extend our relationship with him.”
Tosh.0 is a weekly, topical series that delves into all aspects of the internet from the absolutely absurd to the incredibly ingenious, featuring Tosh’s signature humor and biting commentary from the comedian. The show is executive produced by Tosh, Charlie Siskel, Nick Malis, and Christie Smith. Monika Zielinska is the Executive in Charge of Production for the network.
The extension comes as no surprise as Tosh.0 is one of Comedy Central’s most visited properties, helped by updated daily content on the web as well as exclusive video, show content, and interactive features that fans can enjoy online. Tosh.0’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) have over 36 million followers combined.
The 10th season of Tosh.0 will debut on Tuesday, March 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
