The upcoming Will and Grace reunion has just received an order for even more episodes
The upcoming Will and Grace reunion is getting two more episodes, according to Deadline. The return of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen was originally given a 10-episode order by NBC, but that has now been increased to 12. The reunion of the popular show began production in the beginning of last month and came out of a 10-minute scene filmed during the Presidential election back in September.
Stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally — each of whom received at least one Emmy Award for their respective performances throughout the series — will be back, and original series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will act as showrunners and executive producers. Legendary director James Burrows, who directed every episode of the show during its initial eight-year run, is on board to direct and executive produce.
Debuting in 1998, the show’s popularity climbed steadily, ultimately becoming the highest-rated sitcom in the adults 18-49 demo from 2001-05, and garnering an audience of more than 18 million for its series finale in 2006. In addition to taking its place in the cultural zeitgeist as a critic and fan favorite, Will and Grace was nominated for 83 Emmy Awards, winning 16 of them including Outstanding Comedy Series.

Messing is also known for her work in The Starter Wife and The Wedding Date, and will play Marjorie Houseman in the upcoming TV movie version of Dirty Dancing. McCormack has starred in the TV series Travelers and The New Adventures of Old Christine, and will appear in Queen Bee. Hayes has been working steadily in theater and is known for The Millers and Sean Saves the World. He voices Pete the Guard in Tangled: The Series. Mullally is known for Children’s Hospital and Bee Movie, voices Gayle in Bob’s Burgers and plays Director Stevens in Dimension 404.
