The Shaw family is gearing up for a major reunion. Supernatural and The Boys actor Jensen Ackles will be joining the CBS drama series Tracker. On Instagram, series lead Justin Hartley, who plays Colter Shaw, announced that Ackles is set to play his character’s estranged older brother named Russell.
Ackles is set to make his Tracker debut on the show’s May 12 episode. While both actors have starred in The CW’s Smallville, Tracker marked the first time they worked together. According to TVLine, Ackles will guest star on the first season’s penultimate episode, titled “Off the Books.”
“Colter is forced to team up with his estranged brother, Russell, who enlists his help to track down a former army buddy who’s gone missing after several weeks of paranoid behavior. The investigation takes the brothers into the world of Special Forces missions, shady off-the-books programs and conspiracy theories, all while they contend with their family’s past,” the synopsis for the episode reads.
