Netflix confirmed production on XO Kitty Season 2 has finally started in Seoul, South Korea. This announcement comes with a brand-new video featuring the main cast, including To All the Boys alum Anna Cathcart.
In addition, Deadline brings word that the coming-of-age romantic dramedy has enlisted three new cast members for its upcoming next installment. Audrey Huynh (ANZBBGRL) has been tapped for the series regular role of Stella, while Sasha Bhasin (Brave the Dark) and Joshua Lee (Gangnam Project) have been cast to play recurring characters Preveena and Jin, respectively.
What is XO, Kitty about?
“Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey thinks she knows everything there is to know about love,” reads the synopsis. “But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she’ll soon realize that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line.”
XO, Kitty is created and executive produced by author Jenny Han, who is serving as the showrunner with Sascha Rothchild. Joining Cathcart is Choi Min-Yeong as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min-ho, Anthony Keyvan as Q, Peter Thurnwald as Alex, Regan Aliyah as Juliana, Yunjin Kim as Jina, Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee, and Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison. The series is a production by ACE Entertainment and Awesomeness Studios. It is executive produced by Rothchild and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment.
