The upcoming reboot of 1990’s Tiny Toons Adventures will feature new voices for beloved Looney Tunes characters. Titled Tiny Toons Looniversity, all of the main characters have been recast for the reinvented version of the popular animated series. However, fans can still expect to hear familiar voices.
The fan-favorite characters will return in a half-hour animated show, which will premiere this fall on Cartoon Network and Max. The upcoming series will feature the voices of Eric Bauza as Buster Bunny, Ashleigh Hairston as Babs Bunny, David Errigo Jr. as Hamton J Pig and Plucky Duck, and Tessa Netting as Sweetie Bird.
Set at the Acme Looniversity, the main Looney Tunes characters will serve as mentors for Buster Bunny, Babs Bunny, and the rest of the Tiny Toons circle. Long-time voice actors will lend their voices for the forthcoming reboot, including Jeff Bergman as Bugs Bunny and Sylvester, Bob Bergen as Porky Pig, Cree Summer as Elmyra, Candi Milo as Dean Granny and Witch Hazel, and Fred Tatasciore as Tax and Yosemite Sam.
On the other hand, Bauza — apart from lending his voice to Buster Bunny — will also voice Daffy Duck and Gossamer.
The Acme Looniversity Freshmen
Babs Bunny and Buster Bunny are Acme Looniversity’s fraternal twins. Babs Bunny is a class president with a dream to become “the next big cartoon director.” Buster Bunny, moreover, aims to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Bugs Bunny.
On the other hand, Hampton J. Pig, described as a “nervous, sweet as peach cobbler pie pig,” wants to become the first doctor in his family. Additionally, Plucky Duck will be the “joyfully snobbish” one and is “an expert at putting himself first” before anything else. Lastly, and most certainly not least, Sweetie Bird will serve as the rebel of the class, with an urge to “smash the patriarchy and rock campus karaoke night.”
No release date has been set for Tiny Toons Looniversity yet, but Warner Bros. previously reported that it will premiere this fall.
