During the Star Wars Celebration in London, Lucasfilm has confirmed that Disney+’s hit animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch will officially be coming back for its third and final season. The renewal comes after nearly two weeks since the second season had concluded its 16-episode run.
The Bad Batch final season is scheduled to debut in 2024, with The Mandalorian star Ming-Na Wen returning to reprise her role as bounty hunter Fennec Shand.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. The series features the voices of Dee Bradley Baker as Hunter/ Wrecker/ Tech/ Crosshair/ Echo, Michelle Ang as Omega, Rhea Perlman, Noshir Dalal, Liam O’Brien, Gwendoline Yeo, Bob Bergen, Stephen Stanton, and more.
The series hails from executive producer Dave Filoni, who has been an integral force in the Star Wars universe this past decade due to his work on multiple Star Wars animated shows, such as The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Stars Wars Resistance, as well as in the live-action series The Mandalorian.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is executive produced by Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett, and Carrie Beck, with Josh Rimes set as a producer. Rau is also serving as a supervising director, with Corbett as head writer.
