S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole has passed away at age 46.
BBC published a statement on behalf of S Club 7 and Cattermole’s family, which notes that the cause of death is unknown but that there were no suspicious circumstances, and that Cattermole’s friends, family, and the band all request privacy at this time.
The band posted an image of Cattermole on their Instagram page, accompanied by the following statement:
“We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”
At age 21, Cattermole found fame as part of S Club 7. The band made multiple hits like “Bring It All Back” and “Don’t Stop Movin'” and even starred in a sitcom called Miami 7. The band just recently announced a reunion tour for this fall.
