Award-winning actor Kyle Chandler is set to star alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the upcoming Showtime anthology series Super Pumped.
According to Deadline, Chandler has been cast as Bill Gurley, a Texan venture capitalist who puts his bets his reputation on the success of the ride-share service Uber.

With these two actors leading the charge, the series promises to be a riveting, wild ride.”
Announced Monday, Showtime’s has put a series order in for Super Pumped. Initially set to be a limited series, the new anthology series will adapt stories from the business world that changed the culture. It comes from Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the minds behind the award-winning show Billions.
The first season of Super Pumped is based on the bestselling book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber by Mike Isaac. It will adapt the rise of Uber as well as depict the highs and lows of business in Silicon Valley. Of course, this includes the ultimate demise of Uber’s first CEO and co-founder Travis Kalanick (Gordon-Levitt), who was ousted in a boardroom coup.

Koppelman, Levien, and Beth Schacter will executive produce, write, and serves as showrunners for Super Pumped. Isaac, Paul Schiff, Stephen Schiff, and Allyce Ozarski will also EP.
Chandler’s most recent projects include Godzilla vs. Kong and The Midnight Sky. He will also star in the upcoming Netflix film Slumberland alongside Jason Momoa and Chris O’Dowd. He has also received Emmy nominations for his performances in Bloodline and Grey’s Anatomy. Most notably, he won an Emmy for his performance in Friday Night Lights.
