The company recently announced that they would be airing special holiday episodes of Kenan, Young Rock, and Mr. Mayor this coming season. With all three shows slated to return for second seasons sometime in January, this means that all three holiday specials will be standalone episodes, not connected to either Season 1 or Season 2 of the show.
This isn’t entirely uncommon across the world but is normally not seen in the United States, with shows opting to air special holiday-themed episodes within a season instead of a special It’s unclear when exactly the holiday specials will air, but they will join NBC’s 2021 holiday programming, which includes Annie Live!, Trolls Holidays in Harmony, and Jimmy Fallon’s Five More Sleeps ’Til Christmas.
