According to a report from Variety, John Mayer is set to host his own talk show on Paramount+.
Called Later With John Mayer, the show will be a spin on BBC’s popular Later with Jools Holland. The “New Light” singer-songwriter has won seven Grammys during his career. The series will see Mayer speaking with other musicians, celebrities and artists in a set that is modeled after a club. There will also be musical performances on the weekly show. It won’t be exclusive to Paramount+, though, as they want to air specials on CBS and tie it into the Grammys (which air on CBS).

The Dead & Company guitarist is no stranger to talk shows. Mayer has hosted his own show on Instagram Live called Current Mood. He has had star-studded guests such as Dave Chappelle and other musicians on his popular weekly IG show. Mayer also has guest-hosted on CBS’ The Late Late Show and appeared on the final episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien. CBS Entertainment almost finalized a television series deal with the rock musician back in 2009, but obviously, it didn’t materialize.
Mayer’s successful music career last saw him release The Search for Everything in 2017.
