Showtime is developing an hour-long mob drama series from Oscar winner Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Empire, 24), Oscar nominee Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Sopranos), and Oscar nominee Nicholas Pileggi (Goodfellas, Vegas, Casino), according to Deadline.

Written by Winter, the untitled series is inspired by Pileggi’s in-depth chronology of organized crime in America — which is also the history of corruption in America — as seen through the eyes of the mafia’s First Family.
Grazer is currently executive producing the second season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga, the upcoming Filthy Rich for Fox, Genius: Aretha for National Geographic, the NBC pilot Langdon, the Empire Cookie spinoff starring Taraji P. Henson for Fox, the anthology Outliers for HBO Max, and the docuseries Gossip Starring Cindy Adams.
