According to Deadline, television shows that film in Vancouver, including The CW’s Supernatural, Riverdale, and its Arrowverse, could begin production sooner rather than later as British Columbia has released new production-restart plans.

“Employers are required to develop a COVID-19 Safety Plan that outlines the policies, guidelines, and procedures they have put in place to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission,” said WorkSafeBC in its Health & Safety Protocols. “Employers must involve frontline workers, joint health and safety committees, and supervisors in identifying protocols for their workplace.”
Last week, WorkSafeBC told studios and producers that they “do not need a formal plan in place to begin operation, but are expected to develop it while protecting the safety of your workers.”
The BC government declared that as long as they do not have symptoms of COVID-19 and “all other immigration admissibility criteria are met, travelers with valid or approved work permits will be permitted to travel.” At the moment, everyone allowed into Vancouver is required to self-quarantine for up to 14 days. The measure is in effect until the end of June, though it could be extended.

The outlet notes that over 30 TV series that film in Vancouver are expected to return to work soon but many believe that productions won’t restart until after July 1, especially with travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines in place for those who enter Canada from a different country.
