Conan to Air Full New Shows Shot Entirely on an iPhone

In response to the show’s determination of giving entertainment to the audience amidst the threats of the COVID-19 pandemic, Deadline brings word that TBS network’s hit late-night talk show Conan is set to return on-air with full brand new shows, beginning on Monday, March 30.

“The quality of my work will not go down because technically that’s not possible,” host Conan O’Brien said in a statement.

The new Conan episodes will be shot entirely on an iPhone which will feature guest interviews filmed through a video call. Conan O’Brien’s production staff will continue to be involve in the production of the new episodes while they remain to work from their homes.

“Our first priority is the health and well-being of everyone in the Team Coco family, and our second priority is to try and find a way that we can do our jobs safely, from home, and contribute some entertainment for our fans out there who may be hungry for silly distraction,” executive producer Jeff Ross said in statement.

Conan would be the first late-night talk show to return on air as other late-night shows including The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live! are still on indefinite hiatus but are doing their best to continue communicating with the audience by filming their daily monologues at home.
