In addition to confirming the show is in the works for Disney+ with the two lead stars returning, this past weekend Kevin Feige also revealed that Captain America: Civil War villain Helmut Zemo will appear in the series with Daniel Brühl reprising the role. Now the 41-year-old actor has taken to Instagram to reveal the first look at his character’s return, including his comic counterpart’s famous mask!

John Wick creator Derek Kolstad joined the writing/creative team of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, though details are still under wraps, but it seems likely to follow up on Falcon’s new status quo after Avengers: Endgame.
Anthony Mackie (Point Blank), Sebastian Stan (I, Tonya) and Brühl are not the only MCU veterans coming back for the miniseries, Emily VanCamp (Revenge) is also likely to return but has not been confirmed. VanCamp originated the role of Sharon Carter in Captain America: The Winter Soldier before reprising her part in Civil War. Neither Sharon nor Zemo have appeared onscreen since 2016.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier may only run for six episodes, but it will connect with the larger MCU. It’s expected to hit Disney+ in August 2020.
