Dror Goldberg aka. Houston wig shop killer took the life of a woman named Manuela Silverio in 1998. His choice of weapon was a knife. Along with stabbing Silverio to death, he even attacked the victim’s employers, Roberta Ingrando and Roland.
At the time of the incident, Goldberg was only 19 years old. According to KHOU 11, Manuela Silverio had worked in Wigs By Andre since the 1970s and helped cancer patients who dealt with hair loss. At the time of her passing, she was 52 years old. For his horrific crime, the court sentenced Goldberg to 48 years in prison in the year 2000.
The killer is currently in jail in Texas. However, he became eligible for parole earlier this year. Has the Houston Wig Shop Killer Dror Goldberg been released?
The Houston Wig Shop Killer was eligible for parole in August 2023. However, the parole board decided to keep Dror Goldberg behind bars. According to Click 2 Houston, the board sent a notice to members of the victim’s family that said, “The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Victim Services Division (VSD) sends our sincere regrets for the criminal victimization you have experienced. It is our goal to assist you in participating in the criminal justice process. This is to notify you that the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles denied parole for this offender on 10/27/2023.”
The Houston Wig Shop Killer’s next parole review is scheduled for October 27, 2028.
