Mondo has unveiled a new batch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soft vinyl figures that will be available this week, including Raphael and another animal-themed character from the series.
Who are the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soft vinyl figures?
A few weeks after releasing soft vinyl figures of Leonardo and Donatello, Mondo is back with figures based on Raphael and Ray Fillet, another character found in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle universe that’s modeled after a manta ray.
The new figures are still inspired by the 90s era of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and stand at about eight inches tall while also featuring articulated limbs and weapon accessories that can be held and posed with by the figures. Ray Fillet will also come with tinier figures modeled after Fish STix and Scarfish, his two companions, as well as his Ray Gill Gun.
The Raphael figure is designed and sculpted by Alex Brewer and Hector Arce, while the Ray Fillet figure was designed by James Groman and sculpted by Alex Brewer, with paint from Hector Arce.
The Mondo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures are available to preorder beginning Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 1 p.m. EST on the company’s website for $90 and $105, respectively. Shipping for the figures is set to begin sometime in October for Raphael, and January 2025 for Ray Fillet.
The two new figures are inspired by the Japanese toys known as sofubi, soft vinyl figures that have become popular amongst collectors. Mondo has released a variety of soft vinyl figures in the past, including figures based on Godzilla, King Kong, Scott Pilgrim, Stranger Things, and more.
