After her husband suddenly leaves her for a hotshot realtor, dedicated mom Deanna decides to take a chance on herself by going back to college to get the degree she never completed. While her daughter isn’t entirely pleased at first, she and her sorority sisters embrace Deanna (aka Dee Rock) as their own in a hilarious and empowering journey. The film’s a feel-good romp through college life for Deanna who plunges into school work, gets her kicks with frat boys, finds her freedom and independence. The film also stars Maya Rudolph, Chris Parnell, Jacki Weaver, Adria Arjona, Stephen Root and is directed by Ben Falcone.

McCarthy and Falcone co-wrote the screenplay and produced through their production company, On the Day. Chris Henchy also produced the film, with Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener, Michael Disco and David Siegel serving as executive producers.
