Netflix is launching an original movie titled 6 Balloons about two siblings trying to keep their relationship together as substance abuse threatens to divide them for good. In 6 Balloons, over the course of one night, a woman drives across LA with her heroin addict brother in search of a detox center, with his two-year-old daughter in tow.
6 Balloons stars Abbi Jacobson (Broad City, Disenchantment), Dave Franco (The Disaster Artist, The Little Hours), Tim Matheson (Animal House, The West Wing) and Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle, The Big Bang Theory).
Rounding out the cast are Charlotte Carel, Madeline Carel, Maya Erskine, Dawan Owens, Jen Tullock, Lisa Bierman, Pierce Minor and Heidi Sulzman,
Marja-Lewis Ryan makes her directorial debut helming the film based on the script she also wrote.
Samantha Housman, Ross M. Dinerstein, Reid Carolin, Channing Tatum and Peter Kiernan produced the movie.
6 Balloons premiered out of SXSW on March 12, 2018, and will be launching on Netflix on April 6, 2018.
