WHIH Newsfront returns with a new interview with MCU President Ellis
Marvel Studios has delivered yet another chapter in its series of WHIH Newsfront viral videos tied to Friday’s domestic release of Captain America: Civil War. In the player below, you can watch the latest, which sees MCU reporter Christine Everhart interview President Ellis.
Christine Everhart, Marvel aficionados will recall, first appeared in 2008’s Iron Man, played by Leslie Bibb. Bibb later reprised the role for a brief big screen appearance in 2010’s Iron Man 2 and later returned for last year’s WHIH Newsfront viral Ant-Man videos. As has been the case with all the Civil War WHIH Newsfront videos so far, Bibb is joined by The Daily Show‘s Al Madrigal, who is playing a political correspondent by the name of Will Adams. President Ellis, meanwhile, is played by William Sadler and has appeared in both Iron Man 3 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Keep your eyes peeled, too, as this video offers a few Easter Eggs tied to other films like Ant-Man and the upcoming Doctor Strange.
Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War will debut in theaters on May 6, 2016.
UPDATE: A new WHIH video was just released that features President Ellis reacting to one of the inciting incidents of Captain America: Civil War. Check it out in the player below!
