20th Century Fox has provided ComingSoon.net with an exclusive first look at a new clip from Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip! You can also find “Home” on the film’s Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, releasing on December 11.

In The Road Chip, through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in New York City…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother.

Scripted by Mrs. Doubtfire screenwriter Randi Mayem Singer and directed by Walt Becker, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip stars Jason Lee (Mallrats, “My Name Is Earl”) as Dave Seville and will again feature the voices of Justin Long (Tusk, Drag Me To Hell), Matthew Gray Gubler (“Criminal Minds,” (500) Days of Summer) and Jesse McCartney (“Army Wives,” “Young Justice”) as the headlining chipmunks. Co-starring are Tony Hale, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Anna Faris, and Christina Applegate.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip hits theaters on December 23. Combined, the three previous movies, which started with 2007’s Alvin and the Chipmunks, have grossed over $560 million domestically and $1.1 billion worldwide.
