In 2012, Seth MacFarlane‘s Ted grossed $549 million worldwide on a $50 million budget. I found the film funny at first and increasingly tiresome as it went on and on and on and on… Last year’s one-joke pony, A Million Ways to Die in the West, served as MacFarlane’s follow-up. Made on a budget of only $40 million it’s hard to call the $86.4 million worldwide take a failure, but it did tell me MacFarlane’s jokes were finally getting a little stale as the humor really wasn’t all that different than what we got from Ted. So, when Ted 2 arrives on June 26 will audiences flock to see the foul-mouthed teddy bear all over again or has this ship run its course?
Today Universal has released a new red band trailer for the movie, accompanied by a new poster featuring the title star voiced by MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg. Check ’em out below and let me know what you think.
