Announced this morning, Liv Ullmann‘s Miss Julie starring Jessica Chastain and Colin Farrell will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival and now the first trailer for the film has arrived.
An adaptation from August Strindberg’s battle-of-the-sexes play set in 1874, the story is set on a country estate in Ireland and over the course of one midsummer night, Miss Julie explores the brutal, charged power struggle between a young aristocratic woman (Chastain) and her father’s valet (Farrell). Samantha Morton also stars.
at a count’s estate in Sweden, following a woman trying to escape an existence crampedby social mores who is suddenly drawn to a senior servant.
