From what I’ve heard this is a film you simply need to see without knowing much of anything going in. That said, you can choose to read further and/or watch the trailer at your own discretion. From what I know, which is little as far as I can tell, the film is based on a true story in which someone prank calls a fast food restaurant claiming to be a police officer and urges the employees to do some unspeakable things to help solve a case… and they do it. Now whether I have the plot entirely correct or not, I’m not sure, but once Compliance hits theaters on August 17 I am going to be sure to check it out.
The film was written and directed by Craig Zobel and had its premiere at Sundance earlier this year and stars Ann Dowd, Dreama Walker, Pat Healy and Bill Camp.
