I will actually be seeing the upcoming comedy/thriller Salvation Boulevard tomorrow afternoon in advance of its July 15 release from IFC as part of the Seattle International Film Festival.
The flick is co-written and directed by George Ratliff (Joshua) based on the book of the same name by Larry Beinhart (“Wag the Dog”), and centers on a former Deadhead turned born-again Christian (Greg Kinnear) who finds himself on the run from fundamentalist members of his mega-church who will do anything to protect their larger-than-life pastor. Starring alongside Kinnear the film is loaded with names including Marisa Tomei, Jennifer Connelly, Pierce Brosnan, Ed Harris, Jim Gaffigan and Isabelle Fuhrman.
