The Gallows Cast Takes Center Stage!

The Gallows cast and crew discuss the new film and a relate a real life ghost story from the production!

This Friday, The Gallows takes center stage as the new “found footage” horror thriller from New Line Cinema and Blumhouse Productions opens in the theaters. The debut feature from the writing and directing team of Chris Lofing and Travis Cluff, The Gallows stars Cassidy Gifford, Ryan Shoos, Reese Mishler and Pfeifer Brown as a group of high school students who become targeted by a malevolent force that might just have its origins in the supernatural.

The Gallows begins in 1993 during a small town high school’s production of a play of the same name. Something goes horribly wrong during a live performance, however, and one of the actors, Charlie Grimille, winds up being hanged to death in the middle of the show. Flash forward to twenty-two years later when Beatrice High has decided to commemorate the tragedy with a new performance of The Gallows. Unfortunately for The Gallows cast, though, Charlie’s spirit may not fully appreciate the tribute.

New Line and Blumhouse pulled together an impressive press junket for the new film and, in the player below, you can watch as The Gallows cast joins Lofing and Cluff on an actual high school stage (Los Angeles’ Hollywood High). In addition to discussing what it took to bring The Gallows to life, the group share some true tales of supernatural intrigue, revealing a terrifying and still-unexplained moment that happened during filming and that was actually captured on camera!

The Gallows hits the big screen July 10. If you missed it, be sure to check out our interview with Lofing and Cluff conducted during WonderCon earlier this year. Also, if you haven’t check out the official trailer for The Gallows yet, you can watch it right here.
