CS Video: Sophie Turner Talks Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse

Well known to fans of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” for her role as Sansa Stark, Sophie Turner stars in this week’s Barely Lethal, the new action comedy from Fanboys director Kyle Newman, in which she plays a young woman raised by The Prescott School for Girls, a top-secret organization that trains orphaned children to become killing machines. How does that fictional institution compare to her to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters where’s she’ll enrolled to play Jean Grey in next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse? We asked her just that at today’s Barely Lethal press junket and you can check out her response in the player below. Check back with ComingSoon.net, too, as we’ll have the full interview with Turner and co-stars Hailee Steinfeld and Dove Cameron posted shortly.

Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult are set to lead the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse, which will also see the return of Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok and, in addition to Turner, franchise newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee. Oscar Isaac is also starring as the film’s title antagonist (quite likely one of the “big, kind of crazy mutants that can mess you up” Turner refers to) with Simon Kinberg scripting from a treatment by Mike Dougherty, Dan Harris and Kinberg.

Said to be the conclusion of a trilogy started with X-Men: First Class and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past, the Bryan Singer directed X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27, 2016.

Barely Lethal, meanwhile, stars Steinfeld as Megan, a young international assassin who yearns for a ?normal? adolescence, prompting her to fake her own death and enroll in a suburban high school. Jessica Alba plays Victoria, Megan’s former handler and current nemesis, who enlists Heather (Turner) to go undercover at the high school and reacquire the runaway. Look for it to hit theaters and On Demand May 29.
