CS Video: We Bring on the Bad Guys in Our New Age of Ultron Interviews

With just two days to go before the highly-anticipated domestic release of Joss Whedon’s  Avengers: Age of Ultron, anticipation is reaching a fever pitch. Earlier this week, ComingSoon.net / SuperHeroHype brought you video interviews with stars Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Chris Evans (Captain America) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor). Now, we’re bringing on the bad guys in our second video, featuring new conversations with James Spader (Ultron), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Check them out in the video player below!

Ultron, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have been appearing for decades in Marvel Comics’ 616 continuity with the later two characters appearing at times as both heroes and as villains. The new film offers quite a few nods to all three characters’ respective complex histories and, in the below interview, Spader shares with us his initial conversation with Whedon that led to him taking the part, while “the twins” discuss acting alongside what, in the final film, is an eight-foot tall robot.

Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron also stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo and Paul Bettany. Already a massive hit, the film has taken in more than $200 million overseas and is pretty much guaranteed to do massive business domestically when it hits theaters this Friday, May 1.
