Walt Disney Animation Studios will be bringing Frozen‘s Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf back to the big screen for a brand new 7-minute short film, Frozen Fever, set to premiere before screenings of director Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming Cinderella, which hits theaters on March 13. ABC’s “Good Morning America” today revealed new footage from the short, which you can check out below!
In Frozen Fever, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.
Directed by the returning Frozen pair of Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and produced by the returning Peter Del Vecho, Frozen Fever also boasts an all-new original song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Frozen Fever marks the first project reuniting the Oscar-winning original team from the animated hit, although recent reports have hinted that a full sequel may also be on the way. At this time, however, Disney has officially announced no such plans.
Cinderella, meanwhile, offers a live-action take on Disney’s animated classic with a cast that includes Lily James, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Stellan Skarsgård, Derek Jacobi, Nonso Anozie, Holliday Grainger, Richard Madden and Sophie McShera.
