Last year, Tommy Lee Jones’ second feature film as a director The Homesman was released, starring Hilary Swank as Mary Bee Cuddy, a woman who takes on the assignment of escorting a wagon filled with three women who have lost their sanity due to pioneer life, but who gets more than she expected when she’s forced to take along Jones’ drifter George Briggs to help her in the mission.
With the DVD and Blu-ray of The Homesman being released on Tuesday, February 17, ComingSoon.net has been provided with an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip of the Oscar-winning Jones talking about his role as Briggs, which you can check out in the video player below.
Jones also co-wrote the film, which co-stars John Lithgow, Miranda Otto, James Spader, Hailee Steinfeld and Meryl Streep. The movie was adapted from the Western Writers of America and Western Heritage Wrangler award-winning novel from Glendon Swarthout.
