ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Lumina clip from the upcoming sci-fi movie starring Eric Roberts and Emily Hall, which is set to release theatrically on July 12, 2024.
Lumina is written and directed by Gino McKoy and follows “four friends desperately searching for their abductee friend in a Dumb (Deep Underground Military Base). Whether they find their friend or not, in the deserts of the U.S. to the sands of the Sahara, will change their lives forever.”
What happens in the Lumina clip?
The Lumina clip sees a group of people driving off course from their intended destination. The car is stopped by a goat in the road, and after stopping, are abruptly shocked by the goat being thrown into the windshield, while an alien spacecraft materializes in the sky in front of them. What follows is a high-speed chase of sorts, ending with the ship causing the RV to drive off the side of the road.

The film stars Eric Roberts, Ken Lawson, Emily Hall, Eleanor Williams, Andrea Tivadar, and Sidney Nicole Rogers. Roberts is best known for being one of the most prolific English-speaking actors of all time, having amassed over 700 credits throughout his 50-year acting career. The actor has appeared in projects like The Dark Knight, Babylon, Inherent Vice, Runaway Train, and more.
“Lumina tells the story of Alex, whose girlfriend Tatiana disappears suddenly in a flash of a blinding light. Completely traumatized by the situation, Alex, along with his friends and a conspiracy theorist, embarks on a journey through a desert, during which they encounter unexpected challenges that compel them to fight for their lives and discover the truth that will change their lives,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.
