Universal Pictures has dropped a brand new Monkey Man video for Dev Patel‘s upcoming feature directorial debut, which will also led by the Oscar-nominated actor.
The behind-the-scenes video continues to hype up the film’s action-packed and violent fight sequences. It also feature producer Jordan Peele praising Patel for his work and dedication on the movie.

Who’s involved in Monkey Man?
Monkey Man is directed and produced by Dev Patel from a screenplay he co-wrote with Paul Angunawela and John Collee. This marks the feature-length directorial debut of Patel after more than a decade since his breakout performance in 2008’s Slumdog Millionaire. The film also stars Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, Adithi Kalkunte, Sobhita Dhulipala, Ashwini Kalsekar, Makarand Deshpande, Jatin Malik, and Zakir Hussain.
“Inspired by the legend of Hanuman, an icon embodying strength and courage, Monkey Man follows Kid, an anonymous young man who ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club where, night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he is beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash,” reads the official synopsis. “After years of suppressed rage, Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him.”
